USN® wire

In applications where the gradual bend of wire causes less than 1.5% strain, and only enters into the modulus region of the stress-strain curve, USN® wire exhibits increased stiffness when compared to our standard straight annealed Nitinol. Guidewire made from USN® wire that is straight will exhibit greater resistance to initial bend than standard Nitinol of the same grade and diameter.

Size ranges

Available in diameters from 0.228 mm to 0.762 mm [0.009 in to 0.030 in] on spools containing up to 2,438 m [8,000 ft] of wire.
