Automotive

When you want to set the average apart from the enviable, you rely on high-quality materials and small, powerful parts which can make the difference you've been searching for. Using the highest quality materials, we manufacture custom wire products that our customers use to define the edge in their products and create next-generation technology. From shape memory Nitinol materials to custom mechanical assemblies and actuator wire you can leverage small footprints with significant impact on your application.

Typical end uses

  • Actuator wire
  • Battery management systems
  • Climate control systems
  • Controlled latch systems
  • Electrical resistance wire
  • Fan clutch
  • Fuel management systems
  • Heat-responsive fire safety systems
  • Lumbar support pneumatic valves
  • Noise reduction and damping systems
  • Radiator shutters
  • Sensors, controls, capacitors, and resistors
  • Shape memory alloy - fiber reinforced plastics (SMA-FRP)

Alloys

We work with a variety of alloys that have uses in numerous applications and industries. If you don't see the alloy you need for your application, reach out to your Sales Representative.

  • 302 stainless steel identical to 304V in chemical composition except for higher carbon content, with higher tensile strength than 304V produced using an electric-arc melt process, resulting in a high quality austenitic stainless steel
  • 304V stainless steel vacuum arc remelted, 304V has more uniform chemistry with less tensile strength than 302
  • 316LVM stainless steel uniform chemistry and improved microcleanliness and can be processed to improve ductility or corrosion resistance
  • Commercially pure titanium, grades 1-4 grade 1 has the highest corrosion resistance, formability, and lowest strength, whereas grade 4 offers the highest strength with moderate formability
  • Cupron® alloy
  • Evanohm® alloy
  • Hastelloy® alloy X excellent oxidation resistance and strength at elevated temperatures
  • Haynes® R-41 excellent strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures and can be annealed for greater ductility
  • Haynes® Waspaloy alloy excellent strength at elevated temperatures
  • Inconel® alloy 600 good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures
  • Inconel® alloy 601
  • Inconel® alloy 625 high strength without additional heat treatment
  • Inconel® alloy 718 high strength at elevated temperatures
  • Inconel® alloy X-750 high strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures
  • L-605 good oxidation and corrosion resistance as well as high strength in elevated temperatures
  • Magnesium
  • Nickel 205
  • Nickel 212
  • Niclal alloy
  • Nilo® 36 alloy
  • Nilo® 42 alloy
  • Nilo® 52 alloy
  • Nilo® K alloy
  • Nitinol unique superelastic and shape memory properties
